"Why do we write such steps" - ...Allmas,<br /><br />"Why do we write such steps" - I feel this is a fantastic question, but could there be more reasons than the ones you have posted? - I feel the fundamental issue with a test case is, it is expected to be complete when a tester hardly know about the product, device under test. Many a times, testers are asked to submit test cases with only a spec document for reference. Also, what could be the value of such a test case even if it is "complete"?.
